OK, recently there has been some off topic posts about poker in other threads. Rather than continue derailing them, I figured we could talk poker here.

I used to play online a LOT! But, then we had the house fire, and I didn't for a couple years. Now I'm back into it. I mainly play on PokerStars (screen name "ASU_fan"). Recently, I have been getting into the single table NL "double or nothing turbo" tournaments. I play the $50 + $2 buyin. There are 10 players and the top 5 win $100 (i.e., double or nothing). The blind levels are 5 minutes (i.e., turbo). A whole game usually last 30 to 45 minutes.

Anyway... who else?

I have played online before as well, but not for money. I did discover that playing online for no money was useless, not even for fun. When there isn't any real money on the line, people play stupid hands and bluffing just don't work.

Maybe I ought to actually get into the money part of online poker. I sure do enjoy playing cards for cash...

+1 the amount of all-in's pre flop is horrible , or better yet all in 2-3 offsuit with 3 kings showing or some shit . I play on FTP myself usually small shit or SNG's , same screen name as everywhere .

I play Pokerstars sometimes. Of course, my login name is LAK3RS. To be honest though, I can't stand playing online. People do the dumbest shit in the world, and it's not even comparable to playing in person. So, when I feel like playing some poker I drive up to Winstar World Casino in Oklahoma and let my rage out!

I have played with some neighbors a few times, but usually the buy-in is like $5 or something and everyone plays horrible hands. I keep insisting that we get together for a $20 or $50 buy-in, but when you start talking about that, everyone gets real quiet.

I'm on FTP with the same SN as I use here.

^^^^^^^^^ +10000000000000000

We manage to get enough people together every now and then by the house to play a few rounds but we never play for less than $20+ ......It gets real interesting once they get drunk and start re-buying in lmao .

Can't speak for the others, but I do. I have a program (Pokertracker) that logs all my results, every hand I've ever played, and every opponent I've ever played against. The program is worth its weight in gold. You can quickly identify the fools from the sharks and play accordingly.

Often when I come to a table if I see a couple "home office pros" I'll just leave. There are literally thousands of players who make their entire income sitting at home playing poker 40 hours a week. One palyer I recently looked up online (there are sites that track stats as well), has made $6,000 in past 90 days.

I love to play, but not online. I don't like the idea of the computer controlling shit. I've lost once in my life at real cards with pocket aces, but online it's a death hand....LOL

Does full tilt allow you to create a private room? We should start our own private room that only the members here know the password too and host our own games. Just something to think about. I wouldn't mind playing tonight.:thumb:

I have to do it via e check it won't accept any of my cards either :wtf1:
I think they do it on purpose. If you notice, they offer a 100% bonus right now up to $600, BUT, all of the payment options that allow more than a $100 first time deposit, won't work. Guess which one they SUGGEST you use? The only one that limits your first deposit to $100....LOL
