Ques on reuse of OE Parts Steeda Coilovers

Help! I'm trying now to install the steeda adjustable suspension, and have a question relating to unclear install instructions ... On the front, is the OE rubber spring seat on the top supposed to be reused in the steeda heavy duty strut mount / adjustable strut ?? The instructions for the coilover don't say so, but the instructions for the hd upper strut mounts say yes ... ??

You need to reuse the upper spring seat for the coilover kit

Actually, I found that you're not supposed to. The steeda springs that you get with the coilovers are way too small in diameter for the OEM rubber mounts, and the HD upper strut mount has it's own metal spring seat you are supposed to use and fits perfectly.
