Quick Tire Question Regarding M&H

First 09' Sportsman Bracket race this saturday, wish me luck Gents!

my 275 40 17 are just as tall as the stock pirellis but a little wider. i got a bad and a good impression, the first run i did i wasnt ready, i did not load my converter i just left off the line and hook like a mf, and made a 1.8 60 foot. the 2nd pass i load the converter up to 2800rpm but it spined. then the 3rd run i lauch right at 1500rpm and did a 1.8 again. i ran the same 8.1 i was running but went from 81.99 mph to 86.4 i think or 86.2 i'll try next weekend with my car tunned and the 4.10s already on. the guy at the shop said to wait a little because they are too new, he said after a couple of more passes they would hook a lot more..

yea they say to either drive around on them or give them a good burnout when new to get them scuffed n ready ....

My 275/40R17 Mickey's aren't even close in height to my stock pirelli's. If you look at 2k05gt's pics, you'll notice the 275/40's are quite a bit shorter. I know, the pic of the girl is distracting, just try and concentrate on the pics of the tires in the rack, not her rack. lol

yeah OK, so do I, I've pulled 2.0+ 60's the first few times I went to the track and was a n00b. After I got some practice 1.8-1.9 were simple, now 1.6-1.7 are typical and that's on a no sidewall 265/40/18!

Best I've done in Ted's SYT was a low 1.8, my car 1.7s. Anytime we raced his car on a Wed night the track prep was pretty much non-existent.

My 275/40R17 Mickey's aren't even close in height to my stock pirelli's. If you look at 2k05gt's pics, you'll notice the 275/40's are quite a bit shorter. I know, the pic of the girl is distracting, just try and concentrate on the pics of the tires in the rack, not her rack. lol
