Has anyone installed the front seats out of an S550 into a S197? If so, how do they fit and what difficulties did you have? What about air if plugs, seat heaters, etc.?

I found a set for a decent price. Any help is appreciated.

I’m aware that the rears won’t fit, I’m only interested in the fronts.

Surely if they don’t bolt straight in there’s got to be a way to adapt the mounting rails right?

I thought someone on here had done this conversion…
Maybe I’m just thinking of someone putting the 10–14 seats in the 05–09.

Used to be in the DIY section. It took a fairly minor adaptation to the front mounts to make them fit.

That’s what I thought I remembered, a simple modification to the rails…

I believe you can switch the seat rails over to the new seats. I did it with '13 Recaros. However you lose the value of the old seats. Besides the rails you will need to swap over the airbags, occupancy sensor and seat belt receivers. Which of course means stripping the skins off and reinstalling them.

Yeah, my airbags are done. I was hoping to use the ones in the new seats. Honestly don’t even care about them other than don’t want the light.
