S550 seats in S197

I am attempting to install 2015 mustang gt leather seats in my 05. Rear seat wasn't to hard I reused the 05 frames and used the 15 foams and leathers I am shocked how well everything fit. The lowers I had to cut a couple new slits into the frame to match the 15 leather attachment points. I will update tomorrow with the fronts. The rears tool about 1-1/2hr but I have one hell of a hangover . The front I have seen people install so it doesn't look to hard.

I really wish I could upgrade to some factory Recaros but holy crap people want a lot of money for those. $1500+ just for the front seats. My car will need a seat upgrade in a couple years probably, leather is really starting to look worn on my driver's seat.

That was like the original option price. Most want 2k plus for the seats now. Only racing seat you can get with airbags in them to fit factory setup. If you price them out factory seats and air bags in them, they are priced about correctly. Cheaper as option as Ford was keeping the other seats so got a bit of a discount for them

Interested to see how the fronts turn out. The newer seats are much more comfortable than the 05-09.

got the fronts installed yesterday. I took a hammer and knocked the little studs out and then made 3"x3" tabs and welded them on the front brackets and the factory rear holes bolt up perfect. the hole spacing is 16 3/4" apart on the rear and the front is 15-3/4" apart.

What did you have to do to for the seat "electronics" and side air bags?

They seem too sit higher than original s197 seats?

I've done S550 recaros in a S197, and the tilt is like that. Sit high in the front.

It puts allitle tilt in them when you do it like I did. But the seats need to be powered up so I can adjust them. Thats whats awesome with the seats they move up and down also.
