Somewhat a general question.

Current setup
4L Whipple
Whipple Monoblade TB
168# injectors
Fore triple return fuel
TR6 @ .028

When the car has sat for 2-6 hours after having been driven, she'll crank and fire up, revs to 1500 or so (typical for the tune) then dies. I can try it 5-6 times and same result. Only way to keep her running is to use the accelerator pedal to keep the revs up and after 20-30 seconds the car will find the idle.

If the car is stone cold or hot it finds the idle without issue.

I doubt its the tune as this did not happen for the first 6 months or so since the motor was done and the tune was checked and adjusted.

Thoughts as to what you think is the cause or solution.

mine does the same. weve discussed before. its a temporary foul situation. although mine happens far more often after short runs than say a cruise or trip down the highway

Ron - I know we have, however this is different than what we talked about, it happens hours later and not after a few mins of running.

Jeremy - I did think of swapping the plugs as they are cheap, unlike the 3V set up. The car seems to run fine all the other times.

Yes, we changed them in mid April I'd guess 1000-1200 miles on them. This issue also seems to coincide with that swap. As I don't recall it occurring before.

As to the price mine are less then $2 a plug.

I doubt it's the gap. I did gap them, check them twice, and I get no blow out up top.

but you DID change the gap over what was previously in there. what can it hurt to gap them down further back to where they were and see if the issue follows.

I'm not sure. IIRC they may have been .025, now .028. I can check to see if I have an email from L&M that shows the gap.

IDK if it's typical or not, mine does, but mine has a the big ass monoblade which creates a world of oddities.

with E85 it's been recommended to use TR6s due to the cooling effects of the ethanol
