Stock Half Shafts vs DSS 1400hp Halfshafts

Picked These up from lethal on Black Friday for 15% off. They are almost 30 lbs heavier! Install is not bad it took about 2 1/2 hours.

No hubs. Stock is now 32 spline. They are pretty strong from the factory.

Bama broke one. I was told at Sema if you drag race to get upgraded half shafts.

There is a left and right side. They were just mixed in the photo.

24lbs total. Not each.

Stock weighed about 21lbs each. These weighed about 33lbs each.

This is on a home scale so exact weight could be wrong.

Yes I am.

I had an engineer at Sema tell me stock half shafts will NOT hold up to drag racing even with mild bolt ons. If you drag race they are a must.

Bama ( AM) busted the oem half shafts with just a CAI + tune + sticky tires. They broke on the 4th pass. Go to 2:09 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IPo-spiMWA

The CAI isn't doing anything..esp on a 2015 which has a superb air box...and huge snorkel between it and the grille. So just a tune + sticky tires will do the job.
