I change my oil and top off my gas before storage. Do you loose octane when the gas in the tank sits for like 4 months? I have been taking it real easy as I drive this tank just in case, but does anyone know?
Thanks

Yes. Gas loses it's octane continually - it's called boiling off, you see it when you fill your tank - the shimmering effect right at the inlet. That is the light components in the gas evaporating. Gas generally will only go bad if it is vented to the atmosphere. If it is in a completely sealed container, it will last a lot longer (years).

It only sitting for 4 months, I wouldn't really worry about it too much.

I have wondered this same thing. My 05 will sit literally for months at a time. May take a year to go through one tank of gas. Should just sell it!!

If it sits that long with the power your running it must stay pretty good. I'm at 8psi and your at 12 or more. 50 more hp than I have.
I don't drive mine but about 1500mi a year, but would never sell it. You do have a lot of goodies on yours.
