Looking for quick answer on this, installing a boss intake manifold and I'm re-attaching the throttle body. I need to know the torque specs on the 4-bolts.

I have searched and the write up I read didn't include the specs for the throttle body. also none of the torque specs I needed for the install are in the torque/specs sticky.

Thanks.

It's not in any of the writeups that we searched and couldn't find specs on google or on the forum by using the forum search engine. We ended up using the specs from the 4.6 3v. Seems fine after a test drive. If these specs are off by a significant amount it would be nice to know - but it seems fine so far.

Can't be very much. Without the figure right in front of you, you can feel safe doing tightening till you feel a sharp rise in torque, then going 15 degrees beyond that. Throttle bodies on boosted applications have higher torques I believe.

Should be the same as the intake bolts. 89 in/lbs.

Coincidentally or perhaps not that is what we ended up using. Which is also the same spec for the 3v throttle body bolts.

Installation

All engines
  1. Using a new gasket, position the TB and install the 4 bolts loosely.
  2. While holding the TB in the most upward position tighten the 4 bolts in 2 stages.
  3. Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. Stage 2: Tighten an additional 45 degrees.
  5. Connect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.
  6. Install the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe
