hey guys i have an 18x9 rim and am running a 295/45 in the rear. I have been told that this tall of a tire is eating up my 390 gears...is this true and what is a good tire size to run..i have a 2inch drop in the rear and 1.5 inch drop in the front..i dont want to go to low profile....265/40 or 275/35?

You should be able to run a 285/40/18 on those rims.
they are close to stock height which wouldn't affect gear ratio.

+1 on the 285/40... Sounds like a good combo. Especially since your dropped so aggressively in the rear, do you have a set of LCA relocation brackets installed with that drop?
