So I was wondering, is there any negative for using stock 17" bullets with DR's on them for the track? Just thinking about this considering I have my stockers sitting in my garage and I am making out a list for things to get that would help me with street and then the strip. I guess some wheels are lighter but if these are sitting around, why not use them right?

I run some 17" black bullitts for my et streets and the only downside is the weight.

Tires for 15"s are cheaper as well.

I one pair of my stock wheels with M/T E.T streets and the other M&H drag radials. Both pair of tires were about $400 each.

Stock 17's with bias ply et streets weigh much less than what I run as a DD.

That's what I'm going to do this year. I've got done stock bullits on the way. The way I look at it is how much time will you actually take off by going to a 15" rim? A tenth for an extra 300 bucks not worth it to me

Now here is a beat up question probably, which brand tire? I know Ill would be going with a 28" tire since I am FI and have 4.10s

I would go with M&H racemasters 275/50/17. This is a 28" tire. If I can cut 1.7XX to 1.8XXX you should be able to cut 1.5XXX to 1.6XXX 60' but are you have an auto or man?
