Home Threater Up-Date,

One thing that took some time was moving the hospital grade electrical outlets.
That is necessary because all the speakers have new locations.
The Classe' amps with Richard Gray devices to power the speakers obviously had to be moved.
The electrical now is completed.

The front wall where the 123" Stewart screen is now has been completed with electrical & Speakers.
And to be honest it really now looks Awesome.
Very business like !!!

The side JML Utopias remained in their location.
That would have been a major project moving them.
So glad that was not necessary.

Rear wall is what has taken a lot of time.
From the garage which is under the HT they ran the new Transparent 10 gauge cable W/Bricks.
To get it to the right rear JML Mini Utopia they had to cut holes in the drywall.
That allowed them to fish it the rest of the way on the inside of the drywall.
The reason for that is because the rear surrounds are going to now be mounted on Custom Shelves on the rear wall.

Had another shop do the rear custom shelves.
That guy installed them on Thursday this week.

The Runco VX-11d was shipped with the "Wrong" lens.
So it would not show on the 123" 16x9 screen with full coverage.
That was shipped today and will be here on Monday.

The Integra DHC-80.3 Pre-Amp processor & Integra DBS-50.3 Blu-Ray player are installed in the pull-out-rack.
All components were relocated in the rack to provide maximum air-space between them.
The 3-sets of dual-fans were reprogrammed to turn on with the system.
So "Heat" should be of No Concern this time around.

All components are hooked up with 1.4 HDMI this time.
The Spaghetti wiring that use to be is No-Longer.

They also did some looking and decided not to use the WIFI remote from my computer to the gear.
They are running a cable straight to my computer so it will be "Hard Wired".
That is going to work out nicely.

Oh the 4-Mirage BPS-400 subs are going to new locations.
The 2 for the front are now moved to where they will stay.
The rear ones are going to be Stacked.
Between them will be the Auralex GREAT GRAMMA.
Also under all the subs will be the Auralex GREAT GRAMMA.

They have finished for today and will return on Monday with the {Correct Runco Lens} and also the 4-Auralex GREAT GRAMMAS.

We are also going to use these under the rear JML Mini Utopia spkrs.
They will place them at an 8-Deg. Tilt (Auralex MOPAD Monitor Isolation Pads).

I took a few pictures I can post here.

The techs just showed up.

Notice the 2-Mirage Subs are now on the same line.
The front really worked out very well.

Up-Date on Home Theater part #2 .......

Rest of above Post,

Here is Mike that made the 2-rear surround shelves mounting them on rear wall.

Each rear shelf sits down over this section.
Then 3" screws hold it in place.
Then when the shelf is mounted it is glued and more screws added.
The way it is made with the trim on the sides you cannot see the, (Auralex Mopad Isolation Pads that will provide the 8-Deg. Tilt)
They are really pretty darn slick and my Pics are pitiful showing any of this.
Each JML Mini Utopia weighs 60 Lbs.

Came out great Terry. I just got mine back together today. My Integra quit working and I had to send in for repair, turned out to need an HDMI audio board, glad it was still under warranty.

Thanks Earl,

Man Warranty is a great thing for sure.
(I'm glad you have your Integra back)

This time around with the Runco I bought the longest extended Warranty they offer.
(4-Years & they Repair or Replace it)

Well worth it to me as the projector was the most costly component in the up-grades.

I really like my new Integra 80.3 Pre-Amp Processor & 50.3 Blu-Ray player.
They work excellent.

I am really enjoying this new set-up and spending a lot of time in the HT as time allows.

Regards,
Terry

... Very-Very few I would say.

It is on the same order as the tigermachine and the dollars in it.
I have found that way to many people would rather throw rocks at the Mustang than to
appreciate it for what it is.
But now over time I know how it is so I have just excepted it for what it is with others.
(On some Mustang Sites)

Thankfully it seems the A/V Internet Sites I belong to the exact opposite takes place.
The majority are into the Audio & Video quality of a HT system.
So they actually like it when they read about and see a quality set-up.
Just completely different mind sets of those members.

I'm not even really sure it is an age related thing either.
I did think that about here on S197 but I'm not really sure age has anything to do with it.

Here are a few of the A/V Internet Sites I belong to that you might like checking out.
Both are excellent and both have a lot of very useful information.

I've been on AVS, fr8flyr, for years but not a member of Audioaficionado. I've seen some of you posts at AVS. I don't post very much there anymore since I retired. I got tired of all the Theta HDMI promises and sold all my Theta gear. I got the Integra, JVC projector and I'm happy with my setup so I don't see any reason to upgrade.
