Officialy, I've now experienced my 6th failure with the Whipple supercharger I put on in mid 2007 (not even 3 years yet)! For the moment, I wont include the problems with my belt squeal/squeak that's gone on for just as long. No, I'll include the belt issue. See item 7!!

1. Leaky intercooler. Forget all the work and money I spent getting that issue resolved.

2. GT500 fuel pump wiring issues. Entirely Ford's fault, but nonetheless.

3. Leaky seal, compressor snout. Whipple replaced with new.

4. Leaky seal, compressor snout, again. Whipple repaired the replacement.

5. Leaky seal, compressor snout. Out of warranty!

6. Failed boost bypass valve.

7. Belt squeak/squeal.

Not a single reply? Interesting.
ive not heard many durability issues with the PD blowers other than those running booku boost can bend the snout.

but a quality, durable blower is why when the time comes im going with Paxton or Vortech. Ive heard of issues with Procharger (though it seems they have made good improvements in quality lately...havent heard as much lately).

but this sucks...im surprised you didnt ask for a new unit instead of fixing the old one. but there are a lot of whipple lovers on here so im sure someone will chime in.

Sorry to hear about your problems.

Mine's been on since March 2007. No problems. No leaks. Lotsa power.

I have 10,000 miles on mine and no problems yet, fingers crossed. sorry about the bad luck

did you talk to whipple customer service and raise hell? I would to see if they can help in some way but I doubt they will. it seems they would want to keep customers happy so they can continue to sell there super expensive blowers and be competitive with all the cheaper companies?

I've not had any problems with mine except the belt squeak which I've fixed, but comes back everytime I change pulley/tensioner arrangement. Right now I'm doing an 8 rib and trying to get rid of a cold start squeak. I'm hoping this is the only problem I ever have out of it. I also don't believe that a belt squeak is a quality issue on Whipple's end.

No big problems with mine for around 2 years, approximately 200+ passes at the track, maybe 14,000 miles.

I did have a leaky snout, whipple shipped me out a new snout, no questions. Hasn't leaked since.

Sorry to hear your troubles, it seems like aftermarket always comes with some risk.
