Why can't I use my regular C&L CAI with my Saleen S/C setup? What is the difference between the regular C&L and the racer version?

When I asked the same question, Brenspeed told me the 100mm MAF on the Racer intake is too big for the saleen?

I was told the regular C&L sat too high for a stock hood and I would have to lower my engine or go to a Racer version. So your response adds to my confusion.

Maybe they are just trying to get extra money out of us for a different intake system. Haha.

the C&L fit on mine. I have since switched to a JLT cause i like the way it looks with the painted elbow.

You used a stock hood, regular C&L, Saleen S/C and had no fit problems?

I was told you need the lowering mount for the C&L too fit under the hood.I had too use the lowering motor mounts with the CAI I have. My best advice is call JDM and ask.
