Will I run faster with open x-pipe or just leaving axleback?

I'm going to do some weight reduction in preparation for tomorrow and I thought maybe the exhaust was an easy 40 lbs.

I tried/wasted 4 weeks last season trying everything from dumps to removing axel backs, to removing x and axel backs and running Thrush glass packs straight from the headers ... loud and slower.
