Whats everyone's opinion on this subject? It seems to be an even split with those who decide to dress up their rear 1/4 windows with either louvers or scoops. I have yet to see anyone use the covers. Is there any other reason other than visibility? I think the cervinis 1/4 window covers would look sweet as hell on my black 5.0. Just need to tint my windows first.

In my opinion, louvers are where it's at. They have good styling depending on the car. The biggest problem I had, is that I didn't want to fully cover up my 1/4 window leaving a giant blind spot like most scoops or covers will block. I can see perfectly through the rivets of my Roush louvers as if nothing were there.

The only way I think cars can pull off 1/4 window scoops is if you have the side scoops to make it flow nicely.

The SHR louvers are the best IMO. Stock like visibility and the best looks of all. Much harder to install but WELL worth it in the long run.

my car came with the appearance package, at first I was cool with it but I removed the louvers and the side scoops over the winter, much cleaner without imo

I had louvers on my 05 and loved them, but I really wanted scoops. Eventually I'm going to get the Saleen scoops for my '12. Visibility was there, but not enough to justify me using them. They got smart and hooked up the blind spot mirror, so now it's not an issue.

For me, I guess it kinda depends on the rest of the car and how it's been designed.

+1

I think what ever you choose, it has to compliment the rest of the car, if you know what I mean. It has to mach the theme and the "flow" of the car.

If you do not have side scoops, I think the Roush louvers look clean.

If you do have side scoops, I like the Elanor style window covers, but I would think they would block all visibility.

And I think these just look amazing regardless...

Post up some pics when you make your choice!

Personally I like the SHR louvers. I think they are the best looking and most retro of all the styles. It all depends on what looks good to you.

I vote for louvers. When I first got my car I thought I would do scoops, but couldnt find one that I loved and would look right with my appearance mods.

I cannot remember where these came from, but think it was an ebay vendor.

i didnt like the windows, and i really didnt like the rounded corners. i put the cdc louvs on both of our cars. mine have been on for 4 years, i still like them. the windows were already limo blacked out. i really dont see any reason to have to see out the little windows, even though i still can.

I have learned to not use the rear windows to clear the sides or back up. Trying to get used doing this in preparation of blacking out my windows. Plus if I do get the covers, they would be useless anyways. The spotter mirrors are a great help to the newer mustangs. This is why I am leaning towards the covers. It will be later this summer by the time I get them on the car....a vacation to europe for the whole family drained the car fund account!

I have looked at the SHR louvers...hard! I really like the flush mount. But I do not like having to remove the glass to install them.

So do they fit the new body style too?,I had seen them before but on am Web site they say up to 09. Or did you have to modify them?

Went right on the 12. SHR makes them for 05-09 and 10-12. Only difference from the 08 install is we had to trim acouple small spots with a dremel on the interior panel around the louver.

i have to admit the 1/4 scoops have that shelby look, which is not bad look either but like someone else said kinda need the side scoops to make the set. they all look pretty good

I had the same debate when I got my car, I wanted the scoops,my wife and my friend talked me into the lovers/vented. I was never really happy with the vented, so I bought the scoops and did one side and have been completel happy, and my wife and friend agree it has a more aggressive look.

Those are the ones I really like. Thanks for sharing your pictures! I also have a RR Mustang and I've been wondering what my car would look like with those on it.

I also like some of the scoop styles. I'll make up my mind eventually, but I'm not putting the side scoops on. I already have a hood scoop that's non-functional. I plan on changing the hood, but there's no reason for me to bother with making functional side scoops.

Those really look great that's the first 10+ style I have seen with them. Tom this is the way to go.
