I have a base model 14' and I hate the sill plates. I was thinking of using the sill plates from a premium instead of the $200+ ones from everywhere else. Has anyone done this? If so, where you able to wire them in and how? Thanks

If it's just for them to light up, you can tap any power source that comes on when the doors are open (if that's what you want). The dome lights come to mind.

have you checked to see if the factory pig tail is there? it would make more sense at least to me for ford to just use 1 body harness for all gt cars.

Your best off getting it from a dome light as said. Unless it does have the pig tail down around the sill plate. The actual door pins are a negative normally cloesed circuit. Which you would have to wire a relay to get that to work. If you want the dome light wire in the Smart junction box location I can tell you.
