I had the same problem. After everything it tightened it will lift about 1/8" off the crank pulley. Make sure you have the wastegate spring in it that you want. It's a bitch to take back out. Mine had a yellow spring that was too weak and wouldn't keep it closed. I switched to the green spring

I have Steeda UDP's as well. I rotated the exhaust housing to bring it out a bit as well. It's a really tight fit.

Not a big fan of it. It sits a tad bit further away than it looks but not much. I'm going to file it down a hair as well.

Yea thats what Im dealing with and maybe a little tighter then that.
But if thats the best you got of it, I think we will be tearing the BIATCH down and grinding the flanges FLAT, Slotting them if we have to.
I just wont sleep good at night with it that tight. :roflmao:

Oh and the new BMR Drive shaft loop wont work either looks like we will need to MOD it, The bar is hitting the exhaust SIGH

Anyone know the difference of the steeda underdrive pulley and stock balancer? The width that is to see if there is a chance to contact the steeda.

I had to take a cutter and trim down that tab that's up against my crank to clearance the part the first time I installed. However, when I installed the next time I magically had about 3/16ths extra clearance. It was a a matter of how you move things around and how you tighten things up.

I learned that I had to tighten down the wastegate bolts to "semi-tight" before tightening any of the brackets that attach to the turbo itself, including the exhaust flanges.

This allowed the wastegate to slide, but not having any tilt movement.

I thought it looked really close in the picture from your build thread. Hopefully you can get the needed clearance without pulling stuff back out.

I wish
We tore everything down, cleaned all of the sealer off, Shit we even took the Turbo and the bracket off.:dead2:
Started from scratch.
We clearanced the wastegate flanges anyway. (I will sleep better tonight)
We took off the turbo washer thingy hoping that would move it all more to the center of the balancer.
We took our time and it all worked out.

Pics below

Left this pipe (Driver side) in but clearanced it

Yea

You want a run down?

I've been reading both threads. It probably wouldn't hurt to summarize for guys looking at the Zimmer kit. Your cold side is S&H, correct?
