Whats your performance tire of choice? I ask because i was planning on switching over from KDWs to the Invo.

I had KDW's, I was not a fan. Rode in a car with Invo's, not impressed. There are a few brands that stand out, but sizes are usually limited to 18 or 19 inch rims. In 20's I'd love some R888's, but they are too finicky of a tire. Very pressure sensitive and fall apart under 50 degrees, not to mention thee tread life of a catapillar. Been in a mustang with these recently...I swear my neck hurt after some good launches and fast twisties.
I'm the first to admit, I'm a Michelin fanboy. There's good reason the PS2's are a benchmark tire, and ask anyone that runs them, they'll tell you the same. I'm running PS2's all around, but waiting to switch up to Super Sports when they start making them in the sizes I want. The sizes I run now are being retired from the PS2 line up, so I'm going to have to switch it up. My 335's are arriving next week, FINALLY! It's a bitch to track these down since they've been discontinued. Like I said, I hope the Super Sports are going to be available in 285/30/20 and 335/30/20 in the near future. I've driven them on dirt, gravel, water, grease, ice, and dry pavement. These tires deliver. They've saved my life in the freezing rain, and on a hot summer night when miliseconds counted. Maybe it's just my experience, but I'm never switching to another tire as my primary tire for as long as they make them in my sizes. Race tires, that's another story.
I am switching to the invo's this spring! Got a couple buddies with them on there vette's and they love them!
Well, that's good, but there are a few things to consider about that statement. I don't like to assume, but based on your statement, the only way that matters is if you're going to reduce the weight of your mustang to match the Vette's curb weight, you're enhancing your suspension to match that of the Vette's, and lastly, you're going to be running Vette tire sizes, which are about 285's up front and 335's out back...if not, then the comparision is mute. You need a tire that can handle the weight and suspension characteristics of a mustang, with the realestate alotted by the footprint our cars make. IMHO.
I don't know. The Invo is a great all around tire. Not the pinnacle performance tire but good in the rain, quiet very little extra road noise, still handles very well with nice progressive release and lots of grip before it slips.
I think you're running 275 up front and 315 rears, and have some pretty extensive weight reductions/suspension modifications going on, and a kickass prototype GT500 S/C, correct?
I think the progressive release is because the not uniform UTQG across the tire right? I think it has a few types of rubber at different areas of the tread. Interesting idea.
