Got a rattling in the rear quarter panels.

ha ha I have the same and it is really annoying. never could figure it out. replaced shocks, springs, sway bar, pan hard still there but is a great excuse to keep upgrading. I hope someone figures it out. I started to think it might be control arm bushing?

I just remembered, my rear brakes made that sound, it was the pads banging around in the calipers. Putting disc brake quiet spray on the backs of the pads and reinstalling fixed it.

My 05 GT makes all sort of noise especially when cornering. I guess if I wanted a plush mobile, I'd just get Bentley. Unfortunately, that's not in my immediate future.

i finally discovered what my rattle was today. after a few days of not hearing it, it piped up today with a vengeance. for a while i was convinced it was the black cover over the trunk light and latch, so i popped it off to see if any tabs were broken. turns out the bracket that holds my 3rd brake like had come undone on one side. snapped it back into place an no more rattle.

Interesting, I'll have to look at that. I know I'm missing a fastener or two. It'd be nice if the fix were that simple.

On a slightly related note, last week my convertible top was rattling on the right side. I poked around and couldn't find a culprit. I also noticed that I was getting some new driveline vibration. Jacked it up and found that 2 drive shaft bolts were loose and one was gone.

Replaced the missing one, loctited them all and bam, no more rattle, lol. Dumb.

I also found a rock up inside this tray under the rear, but even after removing it, my rattle is still there. I also checked the upper shock mounts (good), and the little flapper in the trunk. Neither of those are the culprit. It has to be either my panhard bar or control arms. More investigation as time and weather permit.

I was gonna say the geometry of the rear being too low might make something bang into each other. I'm lowered 2" at the rear and had to removed my phb relo bracket because it would hit the rear brace.

Yeah, that was weird. Luckily, that kind of thing broadcasts it's disfunction loud and clear, so it was impossible to ignore and let it get worse.
