2012 gt or 2011??

I'm in the process of selling and making the upgrade!! Now my question is this, should I get a 2011 or the 2012? I've heard rumors that the 2012 direct injection... Is it true and worth the wait? Or should I just get the '11??

The only changes the '12 are getting are the addition and deletion of a few interior/exterior colors, lighted visors, a homelink transmitter, and selectable-effort steering. Really, only the last one is of any consequence.

The '12 will not be getting DI. Nor will the '13 be likely to.

I think if you are going to get a 6 speed manual I would wait and get the 2012. Hopefully Ford has fixed the flywheel bolt issues and the tranny grinding issues on the 12's.

I'd wait for the 2012 also. I absolutely LOVE my 2011 'Stang, even with a couple of issues, but still....Ford will roll in some changes they've learned over the last year or so into the newer car. Just the way it works.

the only thing i would sell that sexy saleen for is say, a roush stage 3 or a GT500.
going to a GT would be, IMHO, a downgrade.

I would but a car with a rollbar and a 3 year old that won't stop growing don't work too well together. And I really don't want to make any changes to it. I'd rather someone else appreciate it for what it is.

Jesus, all of ya, lay off the guy! He's well aware of the repercussions for trading in a Saleen for a GT, and he's made up his mind. Now you're questioning his choice in transmissions? WHO CARES! It's his choice, and he is allowed to get whatever the hell he wants; that's the point of America, you can do whatever you want. If you feel that he should not be allowed to do whatever you want, then I hear Hugo Chavez is looking for helpers...
