Mods are in my sig, whats next in your opinions? Car has 3.31 gears, was thinking of going 4.10s, as they're a definite, but what else?

Boss intake? Off road X/H?

If you plan on drag racing the car in the 1/4 mile don't do the 4.10's unless you want to shift into 5th gear. 3.73's are the way to go to avoid the 5th gear shift. You should get the off road x pipe if you don't have emmissions testing. One of the best bang for the buck on the 2011's.

The first question is to know what type of car are you turning this into. Also, do you have emissions in your state? Then how loud do you want it. Once you answer these 3, then go ahead and look towards those type of mods. People can name and spend your money quicker then you will ever think. You need to figure out what you want in the long run.

cheers.

I also vote against the 4.10s unless you don't plan on going to the 1/4 mile often. I am also not a believer in the Boss intake yet as I haven't seen positive results at the TRACK with it (yeah..I have seen the dyno runs just like everyone else).

Any interest in going with long tubes?

There is not emissions in my county. My inspection tech I go to can be pretty blind when doing the visual as well for a case of beer :D As far as how loud do I want it? Well, I've built a few cars before ranging from obnoxious to sleeper'ish. I guess an offroad X with GT500 mufflers wouldnt be bad as far as sound goes. LT's down the road but I hear they're not worth it like they are on LSX type vehicles until you go with some form of FI.

I frequent the track probably twice a month, sometimes more during the peak times.

My overall goal is a nice low 11 / high 10 second street / strip car. If I end up going faster, terrific! I'm at the beginning stages of this car so, it gives me a nice crossroads on which direction I wish to go in.

Plan on running 28" tall tire at the track. Wouldn't that still keep me at 4th gear crossing the line, since my new rev limiter is around 7500'ish?

3:73s would be the first mod I would get. It's one of those mods that after, you slap yourself in the face for why you didnt do it sooner.

I would wait on the LTs.....this coming from a guy who has them. Use the $1000 towards FI, or all of the following: Springs, Struts, Shocks, Adj Panhard, GT500 strut mounts and Boss intake (thats a lot of stuff you can get for the price of long tubes lol)

BBR X-Pipe and BBR tune and you'll pick up some great numbers. Around 30hp or so. The X-Pipe made the single, largest difference in my performance. When you go F/I, the X-Pipe will still go with that setup. Then, you need to lower that puppy, put on an adjustable PHB and UCA. Finally, get your struts/shocks replaced. I couldn't believe what a HUGE difference it made with how my car handles by going with Steeda Ultralight springs and Koni STR.T dampers all around. If you're like me and want to do a little drag and auto-x, you'll also want some better wheels that can hold onto some wider shoes.

I wouldn't buy anything performance wise that will need to go once you go over to F/I. It just doesn't make sense. Headers, fuck that. You get most of the performance gains from a good 3" X-Pipe like BBR's. I would put that $1000+ into your F/I fund. The stock shorty headers are great performing factory headers.
