    Mid Ohio with new suspension

After making a bunch of mods to my car (Steeda Sport Springs, HD Strut mounts set to -2 deg camber, Steeda PH bar and Koni Yellows) I decided to take on Mid Ohio. Here is what that looked like. Best lap was 1:48.5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6T-PV4IdcA

do you guys leave ABS ON or OFF when at the track?

Yes, traction control and electronic stability control shut down if 1 WSS is faulty or unplugged. ABS goes into "keep alive" mode where is just divides brake torque split front to rear to prevent rear axle lock which can cause the rear end to come around. That is called Electronic Brake-force...

Thanks guys! Norm, good stuff about toe angle, thanks!

Autocrossers! What are your off season upgrade plans?

I finally acquired some of my suspension mods. Steeda sport springs, PH bar, and HD Upper strut mounts. I still need to get shocks/struts, but I'm thinking the negative camber will do a lot for mid-corner performance. Right now I'm leaning towards -2 deg of camber. I can go max -2.5 with the HD...

Autocrossers! What are your off season upgrade plans?

Thanks for the input Kobie and Boaisy. I have looked at these for a while, and what is driving me away is 1) The shocks are not adjustable, which can be a problem with stiff springs for DD (I DD my car for 7 months a year and it sees 3-4 track days per year) 2) The only 2 options for springs are...

Autocrossers! What are your off season upgrade plans?

Big plans for the spring. Steeda Sport springs, adjustable Koni Yellow dampers, and Steeda HD CC plates. I will be keeping my 275/40-19 Bridgestone Potenzas, and I figure -1.5 to -2.0 deg of camber should help me take full advantage of them. What would you guys set front camber to for road...

Few laps around Grattan Raceway in Michigan

Hey everyone, last month I had an AWESOME track day with 3 Balls Racing at Grattan raceway. I got over 90 minutes of seat time, and I was spent and happy. Great event, well organized, no major crashes, good weather and the track is frikkin awesome. As always, lots of cool cars worth...

Few laps around Waterford Hills Raceway in Michigan

I think this still hold true. Spec Miata guys can do it in 1:19 or 1:18 time.

Few laps around Waterford Hills Raceway in Michigan

I just looked at MM set, and I just saw that their street and track set comes with CC plates, LCAs for the rear, springs, shocks, and front sway bar, but not the rear. Thanks for pointing this out. The drop of the springs it a bit too aggressive for my intended use, but for southern states...

Few laps around Waterford Hills Raceway in Michigan

Thanks Norm, good stuff here! I think I get your point on rear sway, your view is that it's needed to adjust possible to softer setting, rather than needing it to stiffen roll resistance. That's a good way of looking at it. Since the rear bar is 2x the rice of the front I was going to go that...

Few laps around Waterford Hills Raceway in Michigan

Thanks for the tips! I have a theory I'm working with here and would love to hear more educated opinions on this. More on this later. First, regarding brakes, I'm running SS lines, Motul RBF600 fluid, GT500 cooling shields, and Carbotech XP10/XP8 pads. (I have the 14" Brembos) I'm very happy...

Few laps around Waterford Hills Raceway in Michigan

Just a few laps @ Waterford Hills. It's a 1.5 mile long track which is rather tight, narrow, and slower than I'm used to. 50mph feels fast in some of the corners here. It's a technical track though, and a good line makes all the difference. And I'm still working on mine :shakehead: Enjoy! This...
