Huh. Ya learn something new every day, with these things. Thanks.
My car eats alternators for breakfast. Maybe I should find me one of those to see if it helps.
I've never seen one with a clutch, and can't really think why you'd want to have a clutch on an alternator. You always want that thing making power when the car is running, right?
I'd say just put it on and see if it makes the right voltage.
I'm using Manley 14cc pistons, top coated with Polydyn HS Gold. Supercharged, so 9.0:1 compression ratio. They've been in for 6 years, taking a beating like a red-headed step child and doing just fine.
Let's see, what runs on electricity? Maybe your fuel pump isn't getting enough powuh. The only thing in the air system that's electric is the MAF, and that's tiny. I assume the engine isn't missing, so that would imply you're getting good spark. Are air:fuel ratios good?
If the computer...
The only thing worse than a dirty, disgusting liberal is a whole state full of them. I was born and raised in that area, but got to Texas as soon as I could. Enjoy walking up the stairs with your small Cokes, Obama fans!
