recommendations on exhaust clamp?

Im having problems with my overhang pipes coming loose from the h-pipe causing it to be able to move left and right and leak. Is there a certain clamp that will work the best or one that yall have used and recommend. Thanks!

Stockers work great. Don't be a pussy and really torque them down.

Hmmm sub'd! My left side one comes loose from time to time for some reason and that bitch is TORQUED down!!

They wear out overtime and will rattle loose. Oem clamps work great, napa has some that work good too. Lock washers wouldn't hurt either.

Agreed, the stockers work the best. If yours get dinged or bent a little, that can mess them up and they wont hold as tight (had one do that).
I would NOT recommend trying some of the thinner wide band clamps; they are just too thin and can tear and break. Get one of the oem replacements. People have them around here as take-off parts, at a much better price than what you can buy them new for.

Mine were moving as well so I made a little lip on the end of each pipe with some vise grips to help prevent any movement when clamped. It seemed to work great. I also had them tack welded just to be sure they wouldn't move anymore.

I use these on my exhaust from the first connecting pipe on the downpipe all the way to the mufflers. They are stainless and seem to work good. I had to make sure I covered both pipes with it.

I used a few stainless steel self tapping screws, one on each side. Has never budged since!

I've been using the Pypes clamps between the H-pipe and over axles tubes. Worked great for some time. Its a pretty nice piece all SS and the fasteners are yellow zinc coated. Much cheaper than the other brands too.

Stockers work well but seem to corrode badly.

I won't use anything but the OEM ones. Driving down the road and having your pipes come loose and start throwing up sparks is no fun.

I've had good luck with Pypes clamps, too. A little bit of Lok-Tite helps sometimes too.

yeah i dipped my bolts in loctite when i clamped them down

Had Royal Muffler cut the pipes right before the rear end and had V-Band clamps installed because the OEM clamps were coming loose and the pipes would lean to the side and start hitting the Watts link.. Don't think you can get anything to hold better than V-Bands, a little expensive but the pipes have never moved since.
