Sorry to hear about your bad luck, but your methods won't prevent the car you choose from having issues. When the 2013's hit they had crank sensor o-ring issues causing the cars to shut off while driving. Also the front LCA groaning issue seemed more common with '13s than the earlier models, or...
The Coyote can be punched out to 351ci. JPC's $15,000 kit apparently can handle 1,500+hp, but I haven't actually seen any of those kits putting down the numbers.
Might as well wait for the 2035 model, or the 2064 model.
Every new model gets its own share of kinks.
Every suspected SVT prototype seen testing on the streets had some form of Coyote engine with a traditional cross-plane crank. Unless they are going to release an FPC engine without road testing I think that is still a wild rumor.
It looks like the older prototype that was running around last summer. The wheels look about the same and they weren't covered back then. The entire taillight panel isn't quite the same as the show cars we've seen since the Dec. 5th reveal so I just think these are early prototype taillamps.
Order guides will be available in April, production to start in July with expected ship dates in August according to a seemingly reliable source.

Not to say it won't happen, but as the Coyote sits now it will require some redesign. Some of those magazine guys assumed the Coyote would get DI back in 2011.
S197 track 62.3F/62.9R, S550 track 62.3F/64.9R.
That was a false assumption by a few magazine editors when they saw a little bump in the combustion chamber. When you look at the top side of the head you see there is actually no room for a DI piezo injector. The heads would need to be...
For 2013 and some 2014 models there is an issue with the crank position sensor. There is a missing or damaged o-ring that mounts the sensor in the bellhousing that causes erroneous sensor readings, thus causing misfiring.
This is my daily driver and the ride is very good especially for the roads around here. I scrape only on large speed bumps but otherwise no complaints. If/when I change anything it will be Koni Sports to replace the STR.T's.
