I would guess you are talking about some kind of stabilizer brace. If some of this particular model have it and some don't then it was an option maybe? Does it show on your build sheet as not there, or not on the build sheet at all? Seems like it would just be in the way... I imagine you can...

Yeah, looking at other posts it sounds like I am not finding good deals. Saw one 07 v6 with 160k miles for $4k, that's at least getting somewhat reasonable. Had manual trans, so that might be a plus. Probably have to pass on a bunch before the right one comes up.

OK, not sure if I can get free Carfax, but I have the VIN. Exhaust was modified (guy told me this), I see it exits the system just inside the passenger rear wheel, seems kind of weird. Not stock wheels - TSW brand I believe, 10-spoke alloys, black. They are running 275/35ZR18 rear and 225/45...

Now checking out an '09, VIN I wrote down doesn't have enough digits according to Carfax so need to go look at that again (it's close). Guy (used dealer) is doing some fixes on it - tie rod ends, some bushings, some lights, he said. 140k miles. Maroon-ish color. Says "45" under pony logo on...

Thanks. If you look the digits positions 5-7 of the VIN that may tell you something compared to other cars in the same series. Really nice car!

Yeah, I'd really want to get manual if possible. I never really figured out the model codes. For 05-09 which is all I looked at, I *think* true Premium cars have a different code. T82 is always a GT. T80 is always a V6. T85 is GT convertible. T84 is V6 convertible. But I think there might...

05 to 09. Any disadvantages to convertible aside from looks? Only one advantage I can think of - you can open it up. Should I look at them or avoid them?

P8A in VIN positions 5-7 tells you it's Premium. Otherwise it will be T80. I think. So that sounds like "Deluxe" is T80 and Premium is P8A. There are really quite a few differences.

Sounds like Premium is what I would prefer then. Just have to keep looking. I sure wouldn't mind coming across an 09 with a glass roof, that would probably be worth paying a little extra for. Thanks.
