This is a set that I "Re-clear coated" from TRUFIBER 2005-2014 Mustang Carbon Fiber Battery & Master Cylinder Covers. I purchased this set from TRUFIBER.com covers a few years back. They are actually real Carbon Fiber pieces (not CF overlay or hydro dipped). About 2 years of being in the engine compartment, the clear coat started to delaminate in different areas.
So, I decided to sand them down and re-clear using clear coat from https://www.automotivetouchup.com/.
I think they actually turned out very good, not perfect, but good. Mind you, I am not a professional, so they have some imperfections.
NOTE: One has scratch in the actual carbon fiber (not the clear) that I can't sand down w/o compromising the carbon fiber (see last pic). It's hard to see, and I had to move around to capture it on a pic. All things considered, I still think they look good.
Because I have the Bullitt Style Strut Tower Brace, I had to trim the Master Cylinder cover some to prevent the cover from rubbing against the brace (see pic).
