Piston slap on my 2012...

I have it as well. Bothers the shit out of me. It does disappear when coolant temp reaches mid way. I just baby the heck out of it till operating temp is reached. Manual gearbox fussy till warm as well in cold ambient temp. Makes for a terrible drive for five or so minutes.

Staggered or square stance..

I had have a full set of niche 20 inch with 275 45 r20 on rear and 245/45r20 on front. Went back to square set up with original wheels. Contact me if interested at 215-760-8593. Practically new.

3k rpm rattle, valve, or other noise?

Have researched this topic extensively and it seems to be piston rattle.. goes away when engine temp reaches middle. Tsb on issue. Ford reflashes Ecm. Does nothing. Have heard no downside as far as longevity.
