Finally doing Hot Rod cams just for fun

You gotta be real careful with the RTV. Manual instructs only at the seams, one or maybe 2 spots per valve cover and just a dab. I did the blue valve covers 10-12 years ago and all has been good. Still wanna get new gaskets from Ford

Finally doing Hot Rod cams just for fun

Sold. Thanks all glad I asked. Now that I’m thinking and studying it makes sense. Car is almost 20 years old and when I was younger my “usage” was a bit more than I drove nowadays. Ordering up that kit and the cams from LMR.com now

Finally doing Hot Rod cams just for fun

I’m sold I wasn’t aware the design changed. Was this oil passage redesign just on the FRPP parts or is there an updated part number for the ford OEM stock parts? Want to make sure I get the new design. I suppose I should do lash adjusters (lifters) while I’m there

Finally doing Hot Rod cams just for fun

I’ll take a look at em. Shocked if they’re bad at 55k. Normally see these replaced over 100k sometimes 150k

Finally doing Hot Rod cams just for fun

After wanting em for probably 10-12 years for the 09 I’m gonna do it. Don’t drive the car much, don’t care about mileage. Enjoy the noise. Has catless X pipe and Stingers so it’s rowdy. Doing the FRPP hot rods. Car has 55k miles and is up on the 4 post most of the time so maybe this’ll make me...

    Ford Racing Super Charger install

Some paragraphing would be helpful. Color of the car, not helpful.

    2008 Shelby GT500 SuperSanke

Garry did you get your ECU issues squared away? I saw your post about using a later build ECU in your Super Snake. All is well?

    3rd plug under seats

Heated seats and power passenger came together as a single option, and that plug is for neither (they were built into the large green/gray connector). Not 100% sure but that connector COULD be for the side impact sensor that mounts on the floor tub by the inner rocker. Not sure why your 07...

Help with diagnosing lean bank 2

Maybe, but read above where others (myself included) have had ONE bank lean code only and it was tune related. I also would have thought both banks should throw lean if it was common to both sides.

Help with diagnosing lean bank 2

That honestly doesn't matter. A Lean condition is unmetered air, which means are PAST the MAF sensor. I don't care how much air you give it before the sensor (hood scoop, ram air, NO hood, doesn't matter). You need to verify you have the correct fuel map corresponding to the CFM and diameter of...

Help with diagnosing lean bank 2

Dino is probably right but I'm just sharing my experience: does the car have a CAI? My last S197 had a P0174 lean bank 2 code when I bought it, and I first ignored MAF, CAI, etc basically anything that I thought would trigger BOTH banks. Turns out the tune for the CAI was somehow wiped out. I...

07-09 OEM Navigation Radio & Antenna

I do, I remember reading that it works in 05-06 but the maps rely on GPS for a speed signal instead of speed signal from the car in 07-09. I never used the GPS directions function anyways just liked looking at the maps
