2006 GT - BBK Long Tubes + Catted X Resonance — Anyone Convert to H-Pipe or Add Resonators?

I used JBA LT's...and high flow catted H. And FRS-500 mufflers on my 2010 auto with small roush M90 blower. Too loud, and had drone at 2krm. The fix was a pair of pypes 80 SS resonators..... installed just before the rear axle. That dropped the level and got rid of the drone.

    Something New From UPR

Do yu Do u know what the yield strength is of the tubing ? 4130 cm is 70 ksi in bare form. It can then be heat treated up to 125 ksi. But once heat treated, you can't weld to it, or u lose the heat treatment. Normally all the welding, drilling etc is done 1st...then it's heat...

    Limp mode problems

Get a DVM...and put it across the battery terminals. Should be aprx 12.4 vdc with eng off. With eng on....and idling, should be in the 14.7 vdc range. If it's still 12.XX, your alternator is dead. Switch DVM to read ACV. should be a few Millivolts at most. If it's more than...

    Random High Engine Temp

Here's what I found did reduce under hood temps a bunch.... like by 40 F. Ceramic coated LT's and hi-flow cats. The new hi-flow cats are bigger diam (4") but shorter than oem, but are located below the seats. Oem cats are at base of eng bay and run stupid hot. The ceramic coated LT's...

    Random High Engine Temp

This is why the radiator is vacuum filled, so no air pockets or air bubbles. At 60 mph, the eng fan should never be on...even with AC on. The high / low fan speed thresholds are set in software....(low and high eng coolant temps). These can be independently adjusted using a hand held tuner. On...

Which of these (modded Bullitt vs GT500)

I Have a 2010 Black mustang. They look good when polished to a mirror finish....which lasts all of a few days. Very few Bullitts were made in Black. If you wanted a bullitt, get a green one.

    Any Motorsports Fans Here?

1 hp = 746 watts. 50 kw = 67 hp. Most electrical motors are not 100% eff, maybe 80%. F1 is still a hybrid setup, doesn't matter how you cut it. They should dump the hybrid, and go back to straight gasoline powered engines like the 4.0 litre V-10's when Nigel mansel was driving.

    Stock bottom hp capabilities

Eaton tru trac comes in 2 x versions. Mine has the 3.5:1 bias ratio...and has the 3 x side gears on each side..and uses the oem 31 splined axle shafts. The HD version has 4 x side gears per side, and the casing is thicker / stronger BUT requires 33 spline axleshafts....... and only...

    Stock bottom hp capabilities

650 rwhp with the stock oem TR3660 manual tranny, not happening. It's only rated for 360 ft lbs of TQ.......and that's measured at the crankshaft, not the rear wheels. With that much hp, or even with 450 rwhp, the 2010 needs a real LSD, like an Eaton tru-trac, DSS-DS, whiteline watts...

Which of these (modded Bullitt vs GT500)

That bullitt comes with a FRPP PD blower, and a ton of other mods. But the GT-500 is already forged. For the same price, the GT-500 would be bomb proof..... and if he wanted to modify the GT-500, there are a lot of bigger / better blower options that are drop in ready. The GT-500...
