What would you do if you were me?

I am close to being in the same situation as you... bought an 08 GT in February and at the time the car was worth more than what I paid. This has changed drastically though in the past two months with the release of the 2015 Mustang and as of yesterday, a local Ford dealer offered me $11k for...

    Exhaust sound question

Very true, but that is why I am going to sleeve the cats and fill the area around the center pipe with muffler material. This will give the appearance of stock cats while still not having them. Here in California, the visual portion of this is critical... otherwise I'd just go with a straight...

    Exhaust sound question

The exhaust manifolds are stock and the x-pipe is a Pypes cut/clamp design I got used for next to nothing (inexpensive upgrade in my opinion). I'm quite happy with the sound (for now) but was surprised to have the exhaust be quieter. Eventually I plan to gut the cats and tune the car, but...

    Exhaust sound question

I have a 2008 GT with Borla S-type rear mufflers (stock exhaust otherwise) and just installed an x-pipe yesterday. Interesting side-effect is that the car is now quieter..... has this happened to anyone else??

    WTB: 08 GT Stock Cats

I have a cut/clamp x-pipe and I'd like the cats/h-pipe so I can setup a cat-less system using the stock housings. I could be interested in the whole thing if that is easier. Thoughts?

    Fitment question

Somebody on here had them on an 05 GT. Is the issue with the offset that they will stick out too far?

    Fitment question

I am interested in the wheels in the link below and would like to know whether anyone has run these on an 05-09 GT with the GT500 Brembo brake upgrade from FRPP. http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/WTK-1007BBA/1994-04-Mustang-Anthracite-Sve-Anniversary-Deep-Dish-Wheel-T Thanks in...

    WTB: 08 GT Stock Cats

I'm looking for a set of stock cats that will fit a 2008 Mustang GT. I don't care how many miles are on them, but the pipes must be in good condition and not have any damage/abnormal bends. My shipping address is in zip code 95136. Please let me know what you have, thank you.

    Body question

Mine came off at about 125 mph, which I was surprised at. Thanks for the advice regarding replacement. I will just have to suck it up and buy a new one since it seems as though it is worthwhile to have it. Is there is really nice alternative to the factory part that I should consider purchasing?

    Body question

So, as I was driving at high speed in my 08 Mustang GT, she decided she didn't like the plastic under-body tray that sits near the front of the car. The only thing left is the hardware and the corners of the plastic panel where it was ripped from the bottom of the car. Couple questions...

    Question about transmission.....

I don't have the factory owner's manual (didn't come with the car). I will look into the fluid type ASAP though to make sure I don't buy the wrong stuff. Thanks for the information guys.

    Question about transmission.....

You run ATF in a manual transmission?? Thank you for the information on the rear differential fluid..... I will look into Amsoil (I like their products) and see whether they need the friction modifier.

    Question about transmission.....

So... since the fluid in the transmission and rear-end are original in this car and the car has 64000 miles on it as of today, I intend to change the fluid out ASAP. What do you guys run for transmission fluid? What do you guys run for rear-end gear oil? Do you use the OEM Ford additive...

    Question about transmission.....

Good to know regarding the slave cylinders. I will put the car on a lift and see if anything is loose in the linkage. Thank you for the tips guys, greatly appreciated. I am pretty knowledgeable about cars, but am very new to this platform, so your help is appreciated.
