When mine did this I took my illuminated sill plate apart and made my own. I don't think you can buy just the illuminated part. I bought a sill plate for a 2015 and put both together.

Those connectors are not standard nor is the small red wire coming out of the positive terminal. I would definitely fix the negative terminal also.
