On cold start I have 60psi oil. Then when it’s been running for a bit at idle (set to 975rpm to keep pressure up) it’s around 14psi. It’s a 3v and I have the melling 340 pump which isn’t the right one I’ve read. So I’m going with a different pump. It’s also a project car so I wanna double check...
I am gonna be tearing down my engine again after only 5k miles since a complete rebuild. I want to upgrade the oil pump and a few other small items. While it’s apart I want to recheck some bearing clearance measurements (rods and mains). Would you guys reuse rings and bearings since there isn’t...
Hey everyone, I rebuilt the engine a few thousand miles ago and this weekend I had the intake off (it’s the ford performance one) and noticed a fair bit of oil in the runners. I’m aware this is most likely from the PCV system and a catch can would help. There seems to be some bolts on the intake...
Is it commanding gears? I had a similar issue in a 4l60e (Chevy) trans. It would go into first and second but not third or fourth. Third and fourth acted as neutrals. It was a burnt up clutch pack. Just another idea.
I hope someone can confirm this, but I believe our cars front o2 are used to monitor AFR while the rears only monitor catalytic efficiency. Meaning the fronts are the only ones that are narrowband sensors.
I am having to put cats back on the car. Currently I have BBK shorties and an O/R X-pipe. Also, I have a AFR gauge that I was looking into the instruction manual and it states to have the sensor for the gauge 18in from manifold but upstream from the cats. If I move the cats and downstream O2...
I have a fresh rebuilt engine and I’m battling o2 codes. I’m wondering if anyone has a picture or knows what side of the car the blue or green o2 plugs in the harness go to?
Thanks for the help
