Guide to upgrade the gt500 fuel pumps

Does anyone have the guide on how to upgrade the fuel pumps on a gt500 fuel hat? I cannot believe this but for some reason my pumps will not disconnect from the fuel hat. I removed the sleeve on the bottom, the base and bracket but it will not disconnect from the plastic piece that joins both fuel outputs...

it is this part. I already loosened all both screws. Is there is something else I am missing?

Probably has an opening ring to seal it and is snug. Tried a flathead screwdriver to separate them?

I have hit it with the flathead and nada

Im just guessing but you need to take the screw off that the red wire is connected to, then remove the base. pumps should slide out the bottom
