    Holley iNTECH cold air intake

Just because they've been around doesn't guarantee anything. There is actually no way a CAI can make power alone in this application. The CFM the engine can ingest is already outflowed by the stock CAI. Unless you change the airflow demands of the engine, nothing to see here.

    Vibration Above 75mph?

Here's a suggestion: Check the bit of cardboard under the front bumper between the bumper cap and the rad support. If this is loose or unaffixed, you'll get horrid hood and cowl shake at speeds 75+.

Best Option for a Modest Power Increase - 5.0 Coyote

LT headers and full exhaust, with a tune modified for it will do the job. Problem is, you can't modify your existing tune so you're in for another tuner. I put my 2012 GT down to 11.9 at 115, fully loaded stick 3.73 BBP car, on the Procal and a sticky tire, stock everything in the powertrain...

    Rear End Axel Help

If noise is being made on turns, I'd be looking at your differential, after I'd eliminated the last thing you touched, like the caliper mounting brackets and bolts. Did you add friction modifier to the gear oil?

    Knock sensor

Something is touching under the load of the shift, that's certain. This'll make you laugh, I just pulled the intake manifold on my car and found one of the knock sensors unplugged...from the factory. WTG, Ford. The reason I pulled the manifold will also make you laugh, I just blew everything...

    Knock sensor

Ok, if it's the shift, check closely for driveline movement, as well as all the other contact stuff. All the pipes are connected to the moving engine. Do you have a loop? they can move and touch the crossmember if not bolted on right. anything stiffening up the driveline, like a whiteline mount...

    Knock sensor

All the advice here is great. I had huge issues with this on my Vortech install on my '12. How do you know it is false knock? Here is how to tell: Real knock will start off high and gradually feed timing back in as time passes. Throw in some high octane fuel and real octane boost like Torco or...

Bad shift fork, or bad third gear?

Anything fragged in there has caused collateral damage, guaranteed. At least every bearing and seal is wasted for sure but, don't be surprised if other hard parts are toast too, once you open it. I had a bearing fail, no provocation, on my 2012 and it nuked the entire 5th gear cluster, the...

Compression for Forced induction Coyote on E85

I'd say stick with 11:1. The point of E85 is its det resistance so, you don't need to drop compression to run the boost you are needing to make the power you're asking for.

    Intermittent crank no start - '13 5.0

The starter is semi-computer controlled on these cars. If you crank the motor and the comp detects a no start, it can continue to turn the starter until the motor catches, even if you release the key. I've had this on both my Coyotes. i get it on the 14 now that I run E85 and have cold plugs in...

    Coolant Drain

Drain is probably stopped up with a bit of debris or something. Water gushed out of this when I had to drop the level for a Vortech install.

    Coyote Swap Driveshaft??

If you're going to diddle with a Ranger shaft just have a driveshaft shop locally produce a custom one for you. It'll be strong and should be definitely way under 1000. The real Q is what trans are you using for this project? The 11-14 DS is two piece so, there really isn't much in and out...

    Rear End Grind / Whine

The whole synthetic not ok for break in is a myth. Many cars come filled from the factory with synthetic oil in the rear. Rear gears do very little wear in as they are set up by the installer and much wear would throw that setting off. That noise in the vid doesn't sound good. Whine is usually...

How about the bypass valve not working anymore?

    2.3L TVS vs 2.9L Whipple

By and large, you can run less boost to produce a given number with the Whipple. If you want it to really feel like it is PD supercharged, you'd be best advised to stick with the 2.3. If you are a big numbers guy, the Whip may be for you.

What The Fuck Happened There Thread!?!

Here's my winningest day of 2015.... Got greedy, put my foot down on a blower Coyote, spun, hit a tree and rolled the car. I walked away with just two busted ribs. ...and the 2014 I got to replace it.

    advice on exhaust fumes...

I get it, that's why I hold off. This isn't a '69 Chevelle here. I like the fact I can start it up in the driveway and not gas out the whole house. I'm making 520 horse on a hundred shot of ntrous through the stock cats, I ran stock cats and exhaust behind the V3 I had on my last S197, making...

    difficulty accelerating after cold start

My previous stick 3.73 car would do this on cold holes, with the stock tune. Procal fixed a lot of that. My current auto car does almost none of this, straight out of the driveway, on the stock tune. I went aftermarket on the tune as well but the stock tune was miles better than the previous...

    CAI and tune 5.0 (moved)

Of all the CAis out there, none of which really do alot, because the power is all in the tune, the Steeda one is probably the best. The Tune is good too, from what I've heard of people using it. I put a fully loaded '12 into the 11s on the Procal tune alone, with a sticky tire.

    2012 V6 build+dealer warranty ?

...or....think about a nice used S197 GT Coyote. Similar to what you have now inside, with the magnificent Coyote motor, for pennies on the dollar compared to a new GT. Sell your V6 privately and walk onto a dealer lot with cash in hand. Bet you get the GT for not much more than you get for your...

Lots of oil around dip stick tube.

Could be that. The only reason oil could be pushing here otherwise is if you had a lot of blowby and that was pressurizing the crankcase. Check the PCV valves in the valve covers for free movement, for a start.

Boss 302 5.0 tough to start, very lean.

Where do you find these pieces of junk? It seems every car you come on here talking about is a three year old car needing a new engine, or bits and pieces put together or...this issue. I'm still sticking with the massive vac leak, maybe in the manifold or flange itself, if there's nothing...

Boss 302 5.0 tough to start, very lean.

Unlikely it's a bad pcm if you can load tunes and communicate with it. Have you verified the engine's mechanical condition? Comp check, leakdown? How about going over it for vac leaks again, post maf? They are super hard to detect on this car because the computer is so good at working around...

    6R80 shift points

Yer right...duh, I had Vortech in my mind and I'm jacked up on prednisone and morphine so, take anything I say with a grain of salt right now...Apologies to those whom I may have offended. You will get a lot of discussion going trying to determine what causes OPG failure anywhere. Some say...

    6R80 shift points

What everyone is on about is, especially on FI, if you tag the limiter the harmonics can destroy your oil pump gears and frag your engine. There is little value in spinning a TVS car to 7500 on the stock GT manifold and I think you are pushing 47s pretty hard doing that. However, spinning it to...
