Pretty sure it killed my stock 3v tensioners in 8k miles. I have also heard that even with upgraded tensioners that you should really put a guide pin upgrade kit in due to just how much strain it places on thentiming components. I don’t use my 2 step for this reason anymore

Put 2v metal tensioners back in the oem style 3v one suck. I had a set go bad 8k miles after build and could compress with my thumb. Reluctor plate started moving around into chain or vice versa either way they aren’t supposed to meet lol

I figure my 3:55 gear 600 +HP (built 3v turbo Lito tuned) will probably see some time in 5th depending on what height tire I get on there at the time I go. My track drag radials are short (26) which wouldn't be optimal for the event so I will try and get something 28in or so high to stretch...

So is the general rule of thumb you don't want to be in the OD gear if at all possible correct?
