    Black Wheel Craze ????

Not a fan of black wheels. This is what came on my car, the previous owner painted them. I prefer polished aluminum, but got a great deal on on these. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    305/35r20 on 9.5" rim rubbing

Ok, Went with a 275/35 on the rear. Had to get smaller lugs as well. I am happy with them, I was nervous about red wheel. I am a little conservative. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    305/35r20 on 9.5" rim rubbing

The 8.5" tire has a +32mm offset. there is a number cast in the back of the rim. With the stock rims on the car (and 1" spacers) you can tell that it is centered. I think the fact that my car is so low and the offset of the 9.5" rims along with the narrowness of the rim are killing it for...

    305/35r20 on 9.5" rim rubbing

I can definitely get a 275 on there. I put the fronts on the rear to see how it looked. It was on a 8.5 in rim, no clue what the offset is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    305/35r20 on 9.5" rim rubbing

I have no clue what springs I have. I bought the car from an older executive who was out of the country at the time. He had a lot of cosmetic mods done, but he paid people to do it and didn't get details. The springs are a deep blue with a single green cool. Looks like stock shocks.

    305/35r20 on 9.5" rim rubbing

I spoke with the tech guy at Hotchkis and he said that these rims were design d with the offset for Mustangs only. That the rim face should be flush with the fender. With my car lowered as much as it is, what tire should I go with to replace these? 285? I will get Nitto to match the fronts...

    305/35r20 on 9.5" rim rubbing

Help I researched this prior to buying some used wheels. I have a 2013 GT convertible that is lowered 1 1/2" (I think). I bought some 20" wheels, the rear is a +35 offset 9 1/2" wide running Nitto 305/35 20 drag radials. I put one on and it rubs on the outside. I know the recommended wheel...

    Wheel Spacer Question

Thanks, I can’t take credit. I bought the car as it. I found it on ebay and contacted the seller after it didn’t sell. Turns out he was out of the country and the car was in storage. He was moving his wife in less than 2 weeks and if the car didn’t sell it was going to sit for 2 ½ years until he...

    Wheel Spacer Question

OK - I went and put front spacers on. They really look nice. This is one of those things that 99% of people wont notice, but once you see it, you can not unsee it. I think that lowered cars need this more then stock height cars. I had to trim the stock wheel studs in order for the front...

    Wheel Spacer Question

They are 1" thick. I tried the 1.5" and the wheel stuck out too much. Looked like the cars in high school when they stuck a 50 on the rear of their Camero. With the lowering springs, the wider spacer would have caused the tire to rub the fender and I don't think that rolling the fender would...

    Wheel Spacer Question

Sorry for the delay - I got the spacers on. the expensive ones and the cheap ones were the same thickness. the studs were the same. the only difference is that the Eibach had a blasted look to the surface finish and they were a larger diameter. The cheaper billet ones matched the exact diameter...

    Wheel Spacer Question

Well if you are mounting wheels, you should always check the lugs after a few miles on the street. If you mount them and then head out to the track, then sure you will see some loosen. If they continue to loosen, the check or replace the lugs and studs. Since this a mostly a daily driver &...

    Wheel Spacer Question

Again, I am not an engineer, but this is a simple joint. The wheels on all cars are held on by friction. The friction between the inside of the wheel and the hub or brake rotor. The car is actually held up by this friction, not by the studs or the little bit of hub sticking out. The spacer...

    Wheel Spacer Question

Think about this like an engineer, why would aluminum spacers be any softer then aluminum wheels? Why would a spacer loosen the lugs any more than a wheel lug? How often do your wheel lugs come loose? With the spacers, you can use blue lock tight as you are not removing them like you would a...

    Wheel Spacer Question

What advice on this topic am I missing? I did tons of research and there is as many people who don't think that they are a good idea as there are that think that they are fine to use. I choose to believe that they are safe due to the fact that they are legal and used in pro racing, that they are...
