Any chance you have the exterior fuse box? EDIT: The under hood fuse box.

    Disabling ABS and Traction Control

Honestly until yesterday I didn't know enough about what you're talking about to even reply. You're right, that's a good idea. I'll post a tutorial after I get everything together. It's not really that complicated, but it's intimidating if you've never done this stuff before. Basically I need...

    Disabling ABS and Traction Control

ABS/TCS/ESC/RSC fully disabled (I think.) So this is the equivalent of pulling the ABS fuse. I'm not sure that this fully disables the baby sitter, but all of the right lights come on when I flip the switch to off that would be on if I were to disconnect the wheel speed sensor. I'll test it at...

    Disabling ABS and Traction Control

Normally, when I arrive at the track to keep the babysitter from trying to kill me, I disable the ABS/Traction Control by disconnecting the wheel speed sensor on the front passenger side. I initially attempted drifting without doing this, by just hitting the TCS button for 10 seconds, out of...

Suspension Modifications - Strut Tower Questions

Here, I'm trying to clarify. I don't want anyone getting confused and attempting to do this bass ackwards. The wooden guide goes on top of the strut tower. Bolts are screwed in from underneath the strut tower into the pre drilled holes. The addition of the nut is to make adjusting the guide...

Suspension Modifications - Strut Tower Questions

Ah, I see what you're saying. The piece of wood is not underneath the strut tower though. Yes, if I had cut it smaller and bolted it on the underside I wouldn't have had to cut the hole through it and I could have sunk the pilot bit into the dead center of the wood. I was flying by the seat...

Suspension Modifications - Strut Tower Questions

A strut tower, a 1x4 or 1x6 piece of wood roughly 6 to 7 inches in length. Shit, you probably oughta measure it yourself. READ MY HAND WRITING! Or look at the block from the inside the wheel well. Mark bolt holes with a marker. Drill out marked holes using a drill bit ever so slightly...

Suspension Modifications - Strut Tower Questions

Okay, here's the after picture. So far no issues. I'll let y'all know if anything comes up. Touch up paint needs to be applied to the raw metal, but the whole thing takes very little time. It takes longer to get the wheels off and the coilovers out than it does to cut and sand the strut towers.

Suspension Modifications - Strut Tower Questions

Just finished it up. The brace isn't a necessity, useed a 3 inch hole saw, then an angle grinder to smooth out the rough metal and some rough sand paper after that to get rid of the rest of it. I made the guide out of wood, using a 1x4. Bolted the 1x4 to the strut tower and then went to town...

Suspension Modifications - Strut Tower Questions

I decided to stop searching solely for S197 strut tower modifications and take a look at mods in general. This is what I want to try. http://www.sithracing.com/primary/strut-tower-cutout-for-camber-adjustment-diy/

Suspension Modifications - Strut Tower Questions

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone running BC Racing BR series coilovers have modded their strut towers to allow easier access to the camber adjustment bolts? I did some research but didn't really turn anything up. Basically I was considering grinding the hole in the strut tower larger or...

Which Coil Overs do you use?

Just in case it's confusing. When you initially tightened down the shock in the rear, you used a large allen wrench to hold the shock still while you torqued it to spec (you know, if you did torque it to spec.), the smaller allen wrench goes in the same place, just further in and when it's there...

Which Coil Overs do you use?

Yup, just like pass1over mentioned. If you don't have the adjustment knobs you can order a set from https://store.bcracing-na.com/adjustment-knobs-ford-mustang-p6433.aspx just make sure to select the correct year and the front/rear whichever you're missing. Also, you can use a number 3 allen...

Which Coil Overs do you use?

I did not create a guide or anything and forgot to take a pic at completely stock ride height, but here she is! The ride is so much better. Initiating is easier and more consistent. I set them to full soft, then adjusted them up from there. Right now the struts are set to 5 and the shocks are...

Which Coil Overs do you use?

Realized I was putting the cart before the horse... I'll definitely post pics of my progress once I've got the coil overs - definitely going with BC Racing Coil Overs, but I needed wheels first so I blew half my budget for the coil overs on used wheels and tires. On the plus side I now have a...

Which Coil Overs do you use?

I just did. They were super helpful too. Also to get different spring rates there is no cost. It just adds to the time it takes to get the parts. I'm looking at having them in about a month and a half. I'm gonna go with front 8k rear 6k. I'll post progress shots once I've got everything.

Which Coil Overs do you use?

The CX Racing coil overs have rates of Front 7kg(391 lb/in) / Rear 5kg(279 lb/in) The SR V2's are 447lbs Front Spring Rate; 331 lbs Rear Spring Rate I looked for the spring rate for the BC Racing coil overs but haven't found it listed anywhere yet.

Which Coil Overs do you use?

With the BCs can you make caster/camber adjustments? I wasn't able to find a site for Defined Performance. Did you do the install yourself? I was reading an article by one of Dai Yoshihara's techs. I know it's for the S chassis, but it was extremely educational...

Which Coil Overs do you use?

Hello, I'm new to the forum, new to drifting, and a first time Mustang owner. I haven't participated in a drift event yet. I've save up some money for a set of Coil Overs, but before I go spend it I wanted to get some input from people who have spent time drifting their mustangs. This is...
