Sending unit for 05-09 coyote swap issues arising

For my LS swap I added a return https://www.instagram.com/p/CNQwDaeFCCV/ I had to modify the venturi valve to utilize the 2nd half of the tank that's what the bit of hose is for Not sure how the coyote fuel system is setup, I thought it was a return style though I could be wrong

Yep haha, which is why I'm deleting DoD on the 6.2 My 5.3 doesn't have DoD thankfully, was from a 2003 Silverado, gen4 rods are stronger but mine are gen3 most likely (could have gen4 I just forgot to look when I replaced the oil pan)

Not this year, car might not be ready by then.. most likely next year though! My 5.3 was from a fleet truck with religious oil changes, the frame rotted and failed inspection in Canada, it has like 280k miles and when I pulled the valve covers the engine looked new. The 5.3's with DoD like to...

Damn that's good to know but I went with 4l80 because I wanted overdrive and didn't want to mess with a gearvendor Yeah my car had a T5 transmission otherwise I probably would have tried to keep the TR3650, technically could probably have made the T5 work but already blew one up with a v6 and...

Oops, p59.. I got it and p01 mixed up.. it's a stock 2003 Silverado ECU, which is the engine that's in the car currently. The 5.4 is a solid engine too, and junkyard available.. I probably would have considered it if I didn't fall onto the broken 6.2 for dirt cheap. Navigator block with 03...

Yeah around the time the Godzilla hits junkyards the 3.7 and 3.5 ecoboost will be easily scooped up as well and a big turbo 3.5 would be a lot of fun. It all nickel and dimes you to death, $20 here $50 there adds up quick. The main expenses were the engine ($400), rear end ($300), shifter...

I didn't but it doesn't at all surprise me considering the huge amount of steel manufacturing there, he really tried to keep all manufacturing localized and controlled.. part of the reason why Zug Island was turned into what it is

I grew up and live in Metro Detroit in a Ford family, my first car was a 93 Cougar. The Cougar blowing the head gasket due to Ford's poor design was the reason I know how to work on cars today. This Mustang is the 2nd Ford I've owned, and I've already gone through two 4.0's in it due to timing...

I bought the car for $3500 from my Mother who was the original owner in 2017, in 2020 she passed away. I got the engine complete for $400, trans for free and 8.8 for $300.. I wasn't exactly bragging about doing it for under $5k, I was merely making a point But go on, since you're looking for...

Haha yeah, I stopped watching them a while ago.. the big corporate money just ruins the whole concept

Godzilla is a great engine, as well as the coyote.. but they're also pretty damn expensive This swap including the car will have cost me less than $5k but that's mostly because I'm doing everything myself. Yeah the A10 was developed jointly between Ford and GM, amazing trans I got my 4l80...

Stock p51 ECU/wiring harness, 4l80 The things I had done to my 4.0 was letting it beat stock 3v's but yeah this should take it up another level. The 5.3 is only temporary too, I have a 6.2 for it that will be worried about after the 5.3 is moving Oh, okay.. then tell me why 3v engine mounts...

Here's an album of my car Feel free to ask me any questions I'm even using stock 3v motor mounts https://imgur.com/a/x23HkCt

    Engine vibration

The 4.0 has an internal balance shaft that is chain driven. If the guide breaks and the chain comes lose, it will cause a noticeable vibration throughout the entire rpm range (that gets worse the higher the rpms) I'd check motor mounts first, but don't rule out the balance shaft chain.

    Increase Compression

No one that I know of makes turbo kits for the 4.0 anymore. All the supercharger kits are very very expensive, you can buy a used coyote for the price of a supercharger kit. The m90 kit is the cheapest option but m90's don't really make all that much power. Also if you plan on making that...

    Dash Light Change (without MyColor)

I took every green led in my car and hand soldered them to 403nm ultraviolet For my gauges I used RGB led strip to mimic "mycolor" Here you go:

    Increase Compression

The Sport Trac flex fuel 4.0 has higher compression heads to deal with the different fuel. I have a Sport Trac flex fuel 4.0 in my Mustang, I put it in after blowing up my original engine when the timing components took a shit. I put all new (cloyes) timing components on the replacement (Sport...

How to cover interior trim pieces with Alcantara

Yeah, I haven't messed with the stuff yet because it's somewhat pricey. SoundmanCA put out a video today of him doing a suede headliner, and he used a foam backed suede (love this channel)

How to cover interior trim pieces with Alcantara

I used more double sided tape (splitting the width), but you could get away with using spray adhesive for that part

How to cover interior trim pieces with Alcantara

Driver side I used spray glue and the passenger side I used the tape, I prefer the tape because it was a lot easier to work with, the large compound bend makes the fabric not want to stick. I did it by myself and had a lot of trouble with the glue, but the tape was a lot easier. The driver...

How to cover interior trim pieces with Alcantara

I got mine from a local fabric store, just call around asking if they have microsuede. I did my a pillars but I need to redo them.. I recommend using 3m double sided foam tape on the entire surface of the a-pillar to apply the fabric instead of spray glue You're also going to want an extra set...
