    6R80 in my 05

Well for anyone still interested in my bs, I’ve sorted things a bit. I’ve determined it isn’t ignition. Tested coils, replaced my plugs, tested the harness. No codes, Lito says datalog is fine etc. several weeks ago looking into my issue I read about lubegard instant converter shutter fix, it...

    6R80 in my 05

Yeah no codes, I ran my blue driver scanner and checked all modules even. While the car was running I unplugged each coil and injector 1 at a time to listen for any difference. All of them appeared to be working fine. I'm going to look into other avenues, I'm pretty confident its not the trans...

Man I was really hoping this was it. It even made sense if this was the problem. I installed a hood vent in February and living in the PNW we get lots of rains. My car was having a misfire a week or two ago, water had been sitting on the coil boots and some had leaked into the plug hole. Got it...

I've probably put on 300-500 miles on this swap. I did a bolt check on the converter bolts today, they're still tight. I put loctite on all the bolts I installed during the swap. I'll check the balancer but the belt looks fine. Also checked my motor mounts today, they're all tight as well...

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I'm running into a very strange issue now. With everything going on I haven't driven much since the swap, only a couple weeks going to the office. Since it's been sitting something must have happened... I was driving heading to the highway and felt...

Yeah picked up a simple button from autozone and got it wired in to jump the starter. Installed it just behind where you put the key in so it's not really noticeable. Fluid level is good checked it at 183 degrees last night.

Got the reverse lights wired in, worked great. Left reverse light wire was dark green with orange and right reverse light was white with yellow. Also ran lines to the neutral safety relay and put a button on it. So now I can put the key in run and push start. Running and driving fine! Thanks all...

Thanks, found the reverse wires (didn't have time to wire them to the quick 6 but cut them and saw them shut off the reverse lights). Still no luck with the neutral safety. Got a call from US Shift, they told me we can consider the wiring diagram on the website wrong. He recommended I check for...

Yeah it's been changed over to the manual strategy (backup lights on all the time are a symptom of this change according to Lito). No CEL when driving around. I tried plugging pin 10 from the computer directly into pin 21 on C175T as well, still had the same issue. I guess I'll need to find...

    6R80 in my 05

So I have another weird issue. My backup lights are on in every gear. I followed the diagram for 05-09 Mustangs and they are still on in every gear. My Mustang started with a automatic 5R, so I actually didn't have a pin for 21 C175T. I added a pin, got it connected to 87 on the relay, 85+ for...

Jumped fuse 22 in the engine bay for the starter, got it running and it moved under it's own power! Still need to figure out the neutral safety though... Can't jump it every time.

Okay, so I checked the flex shift options and nothing I changed it to did anything different. Checked manutronic and it was disabled. I check voltage to the the issue ended up being the lead frame in the 6R80. When I removed the pan I saw the sensor nub thing was broken off so when I went...

Okay, so I checked the flex shift options and nothing I changed it to did anything different. Checked manutronic and it was disabled. I check voltage to the quick 6 and it was getting 12.5v. Also check voltage from the pins going to gear selection and got 11v (without battery charger on I was...

    6R80 in my 05

I'm using an OEM 05-09 Mustang Shifter, I couldn't make my TCI shifter work. I have a F150 case and PBH shifter cable braket and downwards lever. I'll check out the flex-shift setting and I'll make sure manutronic is disabled in the settings. Kevin with US Shift said he'd maybe heard about this...

    6R80 in my 05

Reading about it the issue could be the range sensor in the transmission. I'm going to first charge the battery to where it's showing 13-14v in case for whatever reason it's not getting enough power. If that doesn't work I'm going to check both ends of the harness, if that all looks good I'm...

    6R80 in my 05

I feel like I'm right on the cusp of getting the car running. The quick 6 is all wired up and I've got the manual ECU tune on. When the turn the car to the on position (not started) the quick 6 controller shows me 1 1 on the status. Talked with Kevin from US Shift and he says he thinks it could...

Spoke with Lito, he told me pin 25 for a clean tach output. Also spoke with Kevin from us shift regarding the diagram. He referenced me to alldatadiy.com for a specific wiring diagram. Looks like the backup lamp pin is only there for the manual trans (I had an auto car to begin with). I can post...

Got the transmission swap done! Didn't end up having to use any kind of spacers, the converter spacing was good with the sfi flexplate and circle d 3b converter. I did not get the computer completely wired in. Just have tps, tach and brake lamp to wire in. I was told by lito my pcm (2007+)...

Ended up purchasing a Hays 12-070 SFI 6-bolt flexplate, it appears to bolt up to my circle d 258mm converter just fine. In case anyone was interested.

Thanks for the offer, sticking with the 6 bolt crank for now. Down the road when i rebuild the motor I'll probably go with a 8 bolt.

@05stroker I haven't read any absolute confirmation about the stock 4.6 3v flywheel working with the swap. It sounds like it does but there is clearance issues. Do you happen to remember which flywheel you used for your sons car? Or is a stock flywheel would work? I have a circle d 3b 258mm...
