“UPDATE” Fuel Gauge Not Working After Fuel Pump Swap

I bet they used the extra ground on the DW harness and attached it to the level sender ground screw. Ask me how I know lol

    Fuel pump issues

Also make sure the tip of that screw for the level sender ground wire isn’t touching the pump body on the backside. It will ground the pump and run constantly. Ask how I know lol

    Manual shift 5r55s @dragstrip

I think letting the car shift on its own will be best. Way better consistency and Lito tunes your shift points to take full advantage of the cars power curve :)

List of legit 3V tuners still active and the advent of self-tuning

I'm actually looking at doing a 3v swap into a crown vic which would be similar. What did you do about EGR to pass emissions?

Different power level tunes for supercharger?

I think a good setup for a race week type car would be a paxton 2200. You could pulley it for whatever you want your max boost to be and then add an adjustable wastegate between the blower and intake. That way you could have your max boost race tune but adjust boost at the turn of a knob. Being...

    2010 auto transmission issue..

Maybe have them take a look at the wire harness as well. All those o2 sensor codes could in a way be related because they are on the same section of harness as the transmission. Check for pinched wires, rub throughs etc. With the issue being intermittent like that, I'd be more looking towards an...

Rear end or transmission problem. Need help

Did you remove the transmission range sensor when you adjusted the bands? (For better access, etc). If you did, I would make sure the range sensor is installed properly (you can find out how to align it via youtube). Our transmissions are electrically controlled and the range sensor adjustment...

    Stroker crank and rods

I understand the rod bearings being different for journal size, but why crank gear and oil pump? I only ask because I just looked at their website for the 4.75 kit and it didn't mention anything about it. Just said it comes with an frpp oil pump

Threw the belt, engine heat up

Btw fuses are rated to blow above their amp rating. The rating on the fuse is sustained draw. The fuse rating takes into account amperage spike at power on....unless they are a quick blow fuse

Threw the belt, engine heat up

Or just have a spare belt in your trunk and keep your mostly reliable fully mechanical water pump. There is a reason just about every vehicle manufacturer uses mechanical water pumps. No it's not just cost. Even the brand I work on for a living (jaguar/land rover) use mechanical pumps (although...

    5r55s issues

I had the same issue with mine at the end of last season. I rebuilt mine at home with raybestos red clutches(set them to the tighter end of clearance spec), kolene steels, borg warner high energy bands, oem intermediate drum (mine was fried from slipping lol), tci intermediate servo, transgo...

Question about Ford racing 62 mm throttlebody install

The ford racing throttle body is just plug and play. They are setup already with TPS voltage within ford spec. You have to swap all your electronics over to the BBK version, that's why you need to set TPS on those. Frpp come complete so no need :)

    Personal observation of repairs/modifications threads

Isn't the point of a forum to share ones personal experience or opinion of a certain setup? What works and what doesn't? Even if the information comes from someone who knows someone with that setup? The OP is trying to discredit forums....on a forum! :headbashing:

    Ignition warning light on ???

I had the same issue at the track a while back. Turned out to be a rub through on the signal wire to the pcm from the back of the alternator, shorted to ground.

Official 1/4 MILE RANKING: 3V POWER ADDER

Thanks! The tiny blower and glass transmission are killing me lol. Trying to max out my combo, like living on the edge haha. I have a nitrous kit on the car as well but didn't spray on those passes. I wanted to see if the trans would hold a low 10 before spraying. Getting bottle filled this week
