If I’m tracking you used: Dryer from early S197 High pressure hose from early S197 Compressor from late S197 Condenser from late S197 And how was the low pressure hose configured/customized?

There is a small amount of corrosion on a couple pins, but no visible damage on the board All fuses were verified as good, but no power to anything. We are checking every pin on the connectors to verify if power is making it from the battery to the SJB.

We started with a 2006 V6 convertible with no engine or engine accessories and only one A/C line hanging. The 2013 Boss 302 has the compressor installed, but no A/C lines installed. Can anyone explain how to connect a Gen1 coyote compressor to a early S197 (2006 V6) A/C system?

Still not running yet, but we opted to keep the 06 tank and installed a GT500 pump assembly. We have a 2013 boss fuel tank with pump assembly (should be same as 2011-2014) in Florida if anyone is interested.

Bump… just finished our coyote swap on a 2006 Convert. V6, and no electrical power. Thinking it’s the same issue with a water spoiled SJB after checking all fuses and seeing a hint of green on a pin. what’s the best way of verifying before jumping in $300 used?

Thought I had already responded, but maybe I was sidetracked. Installing the S550 calipers on an S197 requires S197 GT500 rotors (S550 rotors will not work) and also require a shim/washer between the caliper and spindle to center the calipers over the rotors. This pushes the calipers outward...

Update: Installing 7mm wheel spacers on the front to counter the caliper adjustment did the trick.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we spaced the caliper as imaged between the caliper bracket and the caliper, but it actually pushes the caliper out towards the rim. This is what counters the proper wheel offset, but it is required to center the rotor.

Installed 2015 front calipers & 14”rotors and rear 14” rotors with caliper extension brackets yesterday. The rear calipers were a bit locked up, so we may do a rebuild or replacement if they do not actuate smoothly during bleeding today. rear front

So we put on these huge 14” Boss rotors and Boss 19” rims using 2015 4-piston (non-Performance Pack S550) calipers, but the inside of the boss wheels seat against the calipers. Anyone run into this problem? Simple wheel spacer solution, or did we do something wrong?

They are $60, but a metal gear option is available on eBay for the S197 and pre 2011 explorers.

If you’re going to do it right, coat the inside and outside. Heat travels out of the exhaust and moisture corrosion is prevented.

Primarily time to focus on the project, but regarding the brake/clutch pedal assembly they changed in either 2010 or 2011. The early model S197 had two 2 pin separate switches, and the late model has one 4-pin switch. Unfortunately the 4 pin is not wired the same, so we are trying to understand...
