Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

Just wanted to offer one last update. Even after repairing the harness, the problem STILL persisted. It wasn't until this that something in my mind clicked and told me that with wires shorting out, a fuse may have been damaged. Sure enough, fuse #29 (IIRC), was blown. It controls the PCM, VVCT &...

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

Looks like it will be pretty easy to get to. I am thinking of just loosening a few tranny bolts to pull out the harness, and go from there. May repair, may replace. From what I gathered, the harness is $178 my price.

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

Like I said, the car has roughly 1800-2000 miles on it since it sat.

TH400 swap JW bellhousing issues Anyone have this?

Sorry to hijack but please inform me on why you chose to run a 400. The reason I ask is because I am fed up with my mt-82, I am upside down because of the mt, and I am damn sure not going to spend the money to convert to OE automatic.

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

In other words, you guys were correct on checking the wiring harness which is ultimately what led me to finding this.

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

**UPDATE** Replaced the PCM today. Same shit. Im embarrassed. Got frustrated, looked closely at everything. I had another local performance shop install the tranny because I didn't have time. I will not mention their name because this was a buddy deal. Anyways, the harness at the back of the...

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

I like you analogies lol. I've been out of the S197 for so long that if I were to get another custom tune written, who would you guys recommend?

Also, battery and alternator are good.

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

I thought I had said the car has had multiple custom tunes on it in the passed. Even with the bama tune it had originally, it still did this. It even does it when the car is returned to factory.

I hate to be that guy but did you read any of the post?

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

Guys I think I am going to replace the PCM. I got lucky I suppose because my PCM is the cheapest one. $230 from Mac Haik Ford. My reasoning are the last two codes on the list. P064E Internal Control Module 02 Sensor Processor Performance Bank 2 P1647 Linear 02 Sensor Control Chip (Bank...

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

I should mention that a few local guys tried their custom tuning on it and the same thing happened. Instead of bothering them again after I reflashed modules and performed as built, I just used some of the X4's I had in stock.

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

Thats what I am thinking. I have already programmed as built, same exact codes. Even drove the car around stock, same codes. Also, I love your 96.

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

A couple canned SCT's I have had sitting on the shelf in my office over the last year or two. I don't really drive the car much. I mainly just need to get the damn thing sold at this point. I've just been ignoring it but its time for me to do something about it.

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

Replaced the purge valve yesterday. Didn't fix it. Checked IDS for module updates and the PCM was up to date. In other words, same issue. The car seems to run just fine. However there is a little bit of white smoke at idle that smells extremely rich. Perhaps the timing actually is out a bit...

I cleared codes and immediately the CEL came on. The engine was still warm. The code I got was PO443 EVAP System Purge Control Valve A Circuit

Car sat too long. A lot of random codes.

So right now on my 2012 mustang GT I have 8 codes. The car sat for 2 years while the trans was broke. At that time it had bama 93 octane tune, offroad x pipe and a C&L cold air intake. I returned the car to stock while it was down except for the x pipe. I never had the actual programmer for the...
