If I break it up I want the brackets and arms to go together. I'll go $150 shipped for brackets and arms.

Do you live in Louisiana? I'd swear I saw that exact car just the other day on my way to work.

The upper strut bolt and strut to spindle bolts are supposed to be 150ft-lbs.

Here's a shocker for you guys... The dealer swears they didn't find any grinding or whining.

1.5" Drop springs and adjustable panhard are UPR (springs made by Eibach; stamped as Eibach on the coils) UMI Solid lower control arms with polyurethane bushings and UMI bolt-on LCA relocation brackets with all original hardware. Located in Denham Springs, LA. Would much prefer a local sale...

    MT82 Grinding into 2nd

THEY fixed the synchros. I'm not footing the bill for transmission swaps, clutch swaps, etc. I can fix a pinched wire. My 6yo can fix a pinched wire. I refuse to perform the labor (or pay the costs) required to replace what needs to be replaced. If you can't accept that you're beating a dead...

    MT82 Grinding into 2nd

To add to the "fix your car" crap you've been throwing... They replaced the transmission once, about to be twice, and will likely replace the flywheel, clutch, and all hydraulics. Easily $5k+ worth of stuff. Are you recommending I foot that bill? Come off your high horse and accept that for...

    MT82 Grinding into 2nd

I have not touched the transmission. I have no intentions of touching the transmission. If I wanted a 400hp car I had to diagnose myself I'd have thrown together a 351W, dropped it in a Fox, and saved $30k. You want to work on a car for which you paid a ton of money, that's your prerogative...

    MT82 Grinding into 2nd

Mine is going back to the dealer again (redundancy fully intended) on Saturday. They're going to dig into it more on Monday to see if they can find the culprit. I'm ready to get my money back. I've lost the equivalent of several days of work dealing with this and with so many others having...

    MT82 Grinding into 2nd

Interesting. I'm baffled that the dealer didn't even touch my clutch except to not bleed it properly after the new transmission was installed.

Not a chance. Warranty is my friend right now. ...and possibly that dude in customer service. We'll see what happens.

At this point I'm tempted to set up some sort of in-car camera so I can record the sequence of shifts and sounds of the grinding. Just so the dealer can't put me off again this time, once again saying they couldn't replicate it.

    Eibach Pro Kit Springs

Seriously consider cutting the bumpstops. It improved my ride 10x easily. Now it's not nearly as harsh. If it weren't for my solid LCAs with poly bushings it would ride almost like stock. The bumpstops are foam like a Nerf football took me 15 minutes to cut mine.

Inexperiened perhaps, but I've been driving manuals every day for ten years, including professionally logging over a thousand a week for the last two.

    MT82 Grinding into 2nd

No. I've driven notchy (my Kenworth at work) and I've driven grinding (my Explorer with blown synchros.) I can feel what everyone else calls notchy as I shift from gear to gear, even at a stop. I can intermittently both feel and hear what I call grinding as I'm casually shifting into fourth...

    Eibach Pro Kit Springs

I have the UPR springs but they were made by Eibach. If you cut the rear bumpstops in half you'll see a massive improvement in ride quality. If you don't like that idea you can get a new pair for around $20 and cut them so your original stops aren't being cut. That said, all my suspension stuff...

I'll stick with Ford, too, partially for the product, partially for their business structure. This just pisses me off but I'm a big boy and will get over it once things are right again. Worst case I'll go back to trucks.

My first Mustang here. I did build a GT40P powered 1989 Crown Victoria station wagon, though, behind which I was running a WC T5. Even the T5 with a 16" shifter was smoother on the 1-2 than this. I can deal with a notchy shifter and count it as part of the package, like a very slight lope at...

    MT82 Grinding into 2nd

These guys were quick to repair obvious issues (passenger side mirror fell out of the housing five weeks after purchase) but things like the gear whine (which I can get over) and transmission grinds have gone untouched. I've had a rental each time but it's still a lot of lost work time dropping...
