    Drove from Vegas to west Texas in my (base model) 3.7. Headrest wasn't an issue but at the 3/4 mark i was really wishing i had some lumbar support :p

    I've found that the dash is usually off by around 2mpg as well. I have a stick though; and with a pretty even split of city/hghwy driving in triple digit heat i've never averaged more than 22mpg. My driving style would'nt really be considered anything else than "spirited". Keeping the needle...

    I doubt i'll be able to make any runs in Vegas before i PCS..... but the amount of aftermarket hype, combined with the potential with this 3.7 mil... i'm already drooling at what my 2013' re-enslitment bonus is gonna bring to the table :P

    What, being on the bleeing edge of technology doesn't float yer boat? :beerdrink: I'm interested in being a testing mule for the 3.7 crowd... as far as i can google the only differences in the 5.0 and 3.7 trannies seem to be gear ratios... are you still taking nods for testers?

    hmm... with MGW's shifter not hitting the market in the near future this may have to be my first upgrade.... I'm glad the 3.7 market is starting to pick up some heat!

    totally agree with s8v40! when i went from liability in my 98 GT to full coverage on my '11 v6, my monthly insurance bill wend down $70.00. I can only assume if i went balls out with the 5.0 that number would've increased, rather than decreased.

    Most of the Forum traffic regarding tranny repairs seems to be from dowel pins backing out and shearing off, wonky clutch pedals and tough shifting. It would be very interesting to hear a tech explain to me how my shiny new shifter caused the dowel pins to back out on my clutch...

    According to George the Transmisison issues come from Lockout and Syncro wear... which at least the latter shouldn't be evident from the get-go... I don't think this would be cause for alarm with you early adopters, there is more than one way to cook an egg :thumb2:

    Awesome news! Definately glad i held off on buying earlier on..... I almost went with a barton -which from what i can tell they seem to have come up with similar design theories. I wasn't to thrilled about having to pay separately for the beefed-up shift bracket though.:wtf:
