navigator

Hello every one, I have read few thread about swapping 2001 navigator engine into s197. I have found that they are using GT500 ECU and Harness. What is the reason? Is it just to prevent extend the COP wires and other sensors wires? or it is deeper than that. I have swapped a navigator engine in...
