Pinion hits carrier, but reads deep
I have a Ford 8.8 axle and am trying to install a 3.73 US Gear ring and pinion. I’ve put it together about a million times and can’t get it right. Most recently: after doing the pinion measurements using a pinion depth setting tool and installing what I determined to be the correct pinion shim...- Volv8

Driveshaft/pinion flange run-out measurement after gear change?
Hello, is it necessary to do a pinion flange and cv joint run-out measurement and adjustment after pinion change? I have a speed related vibration in the rear end after 3.73 gear install from 75 to 80 mph. Thanks!- GriffX
