This seemed like tech but it's so gray I just put it in chit chat.
Way back in 2006, I "gutted" the 2005 for drag racing. My OEM seats had airbags but I bought terminators for the airbag plugs, moved the passenger bladder, and installed Corbeau seats. No airbag lights.
A few years ago, the car was garaged and I went through a nice 2011 and a bought a friend's 2007 GT/CS. Sold both, pulled the 2005 out of storage, and started making it streetable again. In went Corbeaus and terminators for the airbag light...but the airbag warning light was on, no matter what I tried.
I've since learned that the terminator plugs you buy from Ford nowadays have 7ohm resistors, and the early S197s require 2ohm. Ok, not an electrician but a bit of cutting and soldering and the problem is solved...
