I was really impressed with the drivability of the circle d stall you hardly notice it not sloppy at all

Does the torque converter mainly help for launch only or will it help across all driving? I know the concept is that the converter won't lock until say 4 or 5k rpms vice the stock 1500 rpms but how does that equivocate to things other than launch? If i'm driving down the road at say 55 and I stomp it am I doing to see a difference between the two? Will it slip that split second more to get the rpms higher before it catches at higher speeds or in different gears or is it only in say 1 or 1 and 2?

I would think at that speed the car would downshift to a lower gear over the stall rpm and be locked up. Ya at the strip it allows the motor to rev to around 4k rpm before hitting drive train. 2.0 60 ft stock 1.60 60ft with 4c stall

Nice job! Our cars run almost identical times. We will have to get together at Cedar Falls sometime.

A high rpm stall converter helps across all driving. Obviously, from a standing start it has huge advantages over a stock converter. But, even from a roll, my car accelerates much quicker than with the stock converter. Sure, stomp on the gas and the downshift aids acceleration. But, couple that with the converter going loose and flashing and the hit is awesome. I've owned several cars with large converters and loved them all. No stock converters for me ever again.

Any idea how much you picked up with the 3.31s over the 3.15s? I have a set waiting to go in. I am convinced that my car will really benefit from them with my Boss manifold and 27.5" tires. I managed a bunch of 1.60-1.62s two weekends ago but it fell off a little last weekend for some reason.

Ordered a 4c from Mike today. This pushed me over the edge. I don't have headers other than that very similar setup. I just want a solid 11.6-11.7 car so hopefully this does it.

No idea. i took them out right away in 2011 for 4.10 then dropped to .373 then to .331 when stall was done. U should benifit some with that boss intake. Dont u run a 5c?

^ Yes, I have a 5C. The car hooks on pretty much every pass. It just needs a little more gear with this manifold/tire combo out of the hole. I managed a 1.59 with my old 26" DRs at CFR last year.
